James Rogers is the recipient of the annual George Meany Scouting Award given by the Boy Scouts of America Council. The award is the highest honor presented to a union member who is active in Boy Scouting. Rogers is a member of Teamsters Local 401 and is employed by YRC Trucking. He has been an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts program for 19 years and serves as the assistant scoutmaster of Troop 61 in Old Forge. He was selected for the award by the Greater Wilkes-Barre Labor Council’s Community Service Committee.
